Agartala, 19th February 2026: A road accident near Kailashahar Airport caused a stir today. The incident involved a police prisoner van bearing registration TR01N-1026 and the personal car of Hindu Jagaran Manch’s state president, Uttam Dey registration TR02J-0364.
It is reported that, Uttam Dey was driving from DK Road with his son towards the airport area when the police van, coming from the east, collided head-on with his vehicle. The front portion of Dey’s car was badly damaged in the crash. Fortunately, both Uttam Dey and his son escaped with their lives, sustaining no serious injuries.
Dey alleged that the police vehicle rammed into his car as he was exiting DK Road. The matter has been reported to Kailashahar Police Station. Police have since reached the spot and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
