Agartala, 14th May 2026: A 23-year-old housewife, identified as Teji Debbarma, along with her four-year-old son, has mysteriously gone missing while traveling from her parental home to her husband’s house in the Manu area of Tripura. The incident has created concern and tension in the Monupathar region under Manu.
According to family members, Teji Debbarma, a resident of Kalapara area under Manu Village, left her parental home yesterday afternoon with her child for her husband’s residence at Monaipathar. However, even late into the night, she did not reach her destination, triggering panic among both families.
Relatives and local residents reportedly conducted a night-long search at possible locations and contacted friends and acquaintances, but no trace of the mother and child was found.
Subsequently, a written missing complaint was lodged at the Bir Chandra Manu Monupathar Outpost.
Family members also stated that Teji Debbarma’s mobile phone has remained switched off since her disappearance, deepening fears over the safety of both mother and child.
The mysterious disappearance of a woman and her young son in broad daylight has sparked anxiety and speculation across the locality.
Police have registered a missing diary and launched an investigation. According to police sources, messages have already been circulated to different police stations in an effort to trace the missing duo.
Authorities are currently investigating whether Teji Debbarma left voluntarily or may have fallen victim to an unfortunate incident. Meanwhile, both families continue to wait anxiously for the safe return of the mother and child.
