Academicians deliberate on education reforms at Vidya Bharati workshop in Agartala

Agartala, 17th June 2026: A one-day workshop of the Vidya Bharati Vidwat Parishad was held on Wednesday at the Institute of Advanced Study in Education (IASE), Kunjaban, bringing together around 25 academicians from across Tripura to deliberate on social transformation and education reforms.

The programme was attended by Nikhil Niwaskar, Prant Pracharak of the RSS, as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he underlined the critical role of intellectuals and educators in shaping a value-based society anchored in Indian cultural ethos. He stressed the need for integrating educational practices with indigenous perspectives and what he described as Hindutva as a broader civilizational framework.

Nilmoni Chakraborty, State Coordinator of Vidya Bharati Tripura, presented an overview of the Vidwat Parishad’s ongoing activities and initiatives. He highlighted the council’s engagement with the Panch Aadharbhoot Vishay and its efforts to facilitate the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at the grassroots level.

Dr. Abhijit Chanda, Coordinator of the Vidwat Parishad, outlined the future roadmap of the organization. He spoke about plans to organize academic seminars, promote research on the Indian Knowledge System, and develop teacher training modules aligned with NEP 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF).

The workshop concluded with remarks by Dr. Chitra Pal, Prabhari of the Vidwat Parishad, who called upon participants to work collectively towards Kutumb Prabodhan and nation-building through education.

The deliberations during the session revolved around eight thematic areas, including Hindutva as a way of life, Indian education philosophy, Panch Parivartan, Nari Shakti, and addressing global challenges through Indian solutions.
