Agartala, 13th July 2026: Member of Parliament Biplab Kumar Deb has fulfilled his promise to extend medical assistance to young Manashree, who was taken to Delhi on Sunday for advanced treatment.
Following Deb’s instructions, his offices in Agartala and Delhi remained in constant touch with Manashree’s family, coordinating her consultation at AIIMS. The MP had earlier discussed possible medical support with the Union Health Ministry and also spoken directly with specialist Dr. Shefali Golathi regarding Manashree’s condition.
On Sunday, Manashree’s father Dhruba Choudhury expressed gratitude to Deb, noting that despite being on urgent leave, Dr. Golathi examined his daughter at the MP’s request. A five-member medical team at AIIMS, including Dr. Golathi, conducted a detailed evaluation of Manashree’s health and provided further treatment advice. The next course of advanced medical care will depend on the assessment report prepared by the doctors.
Deb’s Delhi office ensured smooth arrangements, with his personal secretary accompanying the family from Tripura Bhavan to AIIMS to avoid any difficulties. Choudhury further stated that their appointment date was advanced due to Deb’s intervention. The family is scheduled to meet doctors again on Friday, after which a clearer treatment roadmap is expected based on AIIMS’ medical report.
