Agartala  23rd July 2026:   Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday welcomed the Central government’s decision to set up fast-track courts for the expeditious trial of cases related to question paper leaks, calling it a significant step towards protecting the aspirations of students and preserving the sanctity of competitive examinations.

Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the initiative, Dr. Saha said the decision reflects the government’s firm resolve to ensure that the hard work, talent and future of the country’s youth are not compromised by unfair practices.

“The establishment of fast-track courts will ensure speedy and strict action against those responsible for question paper leaks. It sends a strong message that anyone attempting to manipulate the examination system or play with the dreams of young aspirants will face the full force of the law,” he said.

The Chief Minister observed that incidents of paper leaks have often caused disappointment among deserving candidates and affected public confidence in recruitment and examination processes. He said the Centre’s latest decision is expected to reinforce transparency, accountability and fairness in these systems.

Dr. Saha further stated that the initiative would inspire confidence among millions of students preparing for competitive examinations, assuring them that the government is committed to protecting merit and ensuring justice. He added that the move would further strengthen the credibility of recruitment and examination mechanisms across the country while reaffirming the government’s commitment to the welfare of the youth.
