Blood donation camp held at Shantirbazar ahead of Independence Day

Agartala, 12th August 2026: Marking the 80th year of India’s Independence, the Santirbazar sub-divisional administration organized a special blood donation camp at the Mukut Auditorium to spread the message of humanity and compassion.

The initiative, held under the theme “Blood donation is the greatest gift of humanity—save a precious life”, aimed to encourage people from all walks of society to come forward for voluntary blood donation. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Tarun Kanti Sarkar led the effort, with officials from various government departments actively participating in the camp.

Local social organizations, volunteer groups, clubs, and youth members were also urged to join such humanitarian programs. The event was seen not only as a tribute to the spirit of Independence but also as a demonstration of social responsibility and compassion.

Residents of Santirbazar welcomed the initiative, noting that such humanitarian efforts by the administration set a positive example. Locals expressed hope that similar welfare-oriented programs would continue in the future, reinforcing both patriotism and humanity in society.
