Agartala, 3rd November 2026 : Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) is set to organise the state’s first-ever state-level FOOD SARAS 1.0, a 10-day food and cultural festival celebrating traditional cuisine, local flavours and women’s entrepreneurship.
The event will be held at Swami Vivekananda Maidan, Astabal, Agartala, from December 5 to 14, 2026. It will showcase authentic traditional delicacies and diverse culinary traditions of Tripura, while providing a platform for women Self-Help Group (SHG) members to promote their food-based enterprises.
An initial inspection of the proposed venue was conducted on Tuesday in the presence of TRLM CEO Tarit Kanti Chakma, officials of the Rural Development Department and members of the TRLM State Mission Management Unit (SMMU). The team reviewed the arrangements and preparations for the upcoming mega event.
The initiative aims to promote local food culture and strengthen women-led enterprises by providing SHG members with opportunities to showcase their products and entrepreneurial skills.
