Agartala, June 11, 2023: Manipur has been in turmoil for the past one month. Blood is flowing like water, several lives are also getting lost and the Law and order is not under control.
In view of this situation, the Manipuri community wished for the wellbeing by lighting candles in Agartala on Sunday calling for peace and harmony in Manipur.
On this day, Puthiba Welfare and Cultural Society and All Tripura Meiti Community jointly called on the central government to restore peace in Manipur at Puthiba Devta Mandir, Abhoynagar here. People of Manipuri part light candles for this. A peace meeting was held.
A few days back, a major incident took place in Manipur between two ethnic groups. Now this program has been organized to establish peace, said Deepak Kumar Singh, Executive Officer of Puthiba Welfare and Cultural Society.
Claiming for a sole Manipur, the government should play a role in protecting the integrity. They welcomed the committee formed by the central government to restore peace.
