Agartala, June 11, 2023: Locals rushed to the Congress Bhavan late at night hearing the screams of a woman. Nitai Das, the accused, was arrested while escaping from the Congress Bhavan. The incident took place around 1.30 AM on Sunday at the Congress Bhavan in Bishalgarh’s Karimura Bazar.
It is reported that Nitai Das is a resident of Gajaria area. It is alleged that the person molested a vagabond woman by entering the Congress Bhavan at night. Then, hearing the screams of the vagabond woman, the youths of the area came running around. When the accused Nitai Das tried to run away from the Congress Bhavan, he was arrested by the locals. Police were informed. The police arrived and arrested the accused and took him to the police station. Police have started investigating the incident.
