World Hepatitis Day: Awareness rally held at Madhya Pratapgarh

Agartala, July 28, 2023: On the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, a conscious awareness rally was organized under the initiative of the Madhya Pratapgarh UP Health Centre. The rally commenced from the premises of the Ramthakur Sangha in the area. The primary objective of this procession was to raise awareness among people about Hepatitis and its impact on society.

The event witnessed the active participation of ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers, making it noteworthy. The awareness rally covered various streets in the locality, spreading the message about Hepatitis and its prevention.

Dr. Sukhendu Nath, the Program Officer of West District, was present at the event. He highlighted that the prevalence of Hepatitis is increasing, particularly among the youth. As a result, every sub-health center has provisions for Hepatitis B and C tests. Anyone testing positive will receive free medical services. This initiative aims to alert everyone about the importance of being cautious about Hepatitis.

The awareness rally, organized in Madhya Pratapgarh, aimed to sensitize the community about Hepatitis and emphasized the significance of regular check-ups to detect and manage the disease effectively.
