Power Minister inaugurates 33 KV Power Sub-Station in Golaghati

Agartala, 10th October 2023 :  In a significant stride towards enhancing the region’s power infrastructure, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath inaugurated a state-of-the-art 33 kv power sub-station in Golaghati, completed at a cost of Rs 10 crore 80 lakhs.

Minister Nath remarked that the project’s commencement in February 2021 and its successful completion by the Power Grid Corporation, supported by the Government of India and the World Bank, is a testament to the collective commitment towards addressing the longstanding electricity shortages in areas inhabited by various communities.

He expressed optimism that the operationalization of this sub-station would herald a new era in electricity service delivery, providing uninterrupted power supply to the local populace. Moreover, Minister Nath asserted that this strategic infrastructure will play a pivotal role in advancing agricultural development in the area.

This achievement stands as a beacon of progress, reflecting the collaborative efforts of both national and international entities, towards ensuring equitable access to essential services. The inauguration of Golaghat’s 33 kV power sub-station reaffirms the commitment towards inclusive development and sustainable growth for all.
