Agartala, December 28: In a fervent display of devotion, a Kalsi Puja and rally were organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Dharmanagar on Thursday to commemorate the inauguration of the Ram Mandir Pran in Ayodhya on January 22. The event was a vibrant celebration of the historic moment when the soul of the Ram temple was established.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad North District General Secretary, Manoj Dhar, shared that the ceremony involved the installation of nine pitchers from nine blocks of the North District at Kalibari in the Dharmanagar office. The ritual included the burning of these kalsis, followed by a circumambulation throughout the temple, symbolizing the sanctity of the occasion.
Recognizing the logistical challenges for everyone to visit Ayodhya on this significant day, an initiative was taken to celebrate the event in every ward of every village. The day’s festivities included a Prabhat Feri with Ram in the morning, followed by a Diwali program in the evening. The choice of the evening for the Diwali celebration harks back to the historical context of Rama’s return home with Sita and Laxman after 14 years of exile, reminiscent of the Diwali celebration.
The celebratory spirit reached its peak with a rally from Officetila Kalibari, taking a chariot around Dharmanagar. The air resonated with the chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” creating an atmosphere filled with religious fervour and enthusiasm. The event aimed to spread the joy of the Ram temple inauguration, allowing communities to come together and partake in the historic moment.
