Govt to fill 126 vacant posts of CHOs: CM

Agartala, 25th March 2025:   Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, who also serves as the state’s Health Minister, announced today that 126 vacant positions for Community Health Officers (CHOs) will be filled soon. 

Dr. Saha made this announcement in the Tripura Legislative Assembly on Tuesday.Dr. Saha, who also serves as the Health Minister of the state, stated that these 126 vacant CHO posts will be filled on a contractual basis as per the norms set by the State Health & Family Welfare Society (NHM), Tripura.

“Regarding the regularization of existing CHOs, no policy or directive has been received from the Central or State government in this regard. However, all contractual CHO vacancies will be filled at the earliest as per the prescribed norms,” he added.
