Belonia Mandal President extends support to traders affected by Uttar Bharat Bazar theft

Agartala, 11th May 2025:  Belonia Mandal President Sayantan Datta has extended financial assistance to traders affected by the recent theft incident at Uttar Bharat Bazar.

The theft took place on May 6, targeted 24 shops in the market leaving traders grappling with losses. In response, a financial aid distribution program was organized at Uttar Bharat Bazar Shed this afternoon.

The event was attended by former Mandal Presidents Gautam Sarkar and Gautam Datta Gupta, the President of Uttar Bharat Bazar Traders Committee and the Upa-Pradhan of Uttar Bharat Gram Panchayat. Local market traders and senior citizens also attended the gathering.

During the discussion, leaders strongly condemned the incident and urged traders and residents to remain vigilant. Market representatives put forward requests for enhanced security measures, including the appointment of market guards and the installation of advanced CCTV cameras.

Addressing these concerns, Mandal President Sayantan Datta assured the traders that a meeting with market committees would be convened soon to discuss their demands. He reiterated his commitment to finding solutions that would strengthen security and protect the interests of the traders.
