Agartala, 14th May 2025: In a bid to make the youth of Tripura self-reliant and financially empowered, the state government has launched a series of training initiatives across various blocks. As part of this effort, a Mega Skill Placement and Job Fair Training Camp was inaugurated today in the area adjacent to Laljuri block under Kanchanpur subdivision.
Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, who inaugurated the event, said that the government is committed to equipping the youth with hands-on training in various technical fields to boost self-employment. “These camps are being organized in Damchhara, Pencharthal, and Jampui Hill blocks. After receiving the training, the youth will be able to find employment across the state and contribute to Tripura’s development,” the minister said.
Additional District Magistrate of Unakoti district Biplab Das emphasized the importance of organizing such training camps at the block level to ensure that local youth benefit directly. Additional Director of Industries and Commerce Department Subhash Chandra Das also addressed the gathering.
The inaugural function was presided over by Laljuri BAC Chairman Ajanta Kumar Chowdhury, while Laljuri Block Additional BDO Deepak Das delivered the welcome speech. Pencharthal BAC Chairman Sajal Chakma was also present at the event.
A key highlight of the event was the formal distribution of certificates to six youths who successfully completed training in various technical disciplines.
