Agartala: August 07. Situation tensed in Belonia following allegations of corrupt practices in job offers of Anganwadi. Party workers have raised serious allegations against the Belonia mandal president and Bharatchandra Nagar Panchayat Samiti chairman, accusing them of distributing job offers in exchange for money.

The incident that fueled the outrage occurred this morning at the Amtali Anganwadi Center in the Manurmukh area of Belonia. Enraged party functionaries locked up the Anganwadi center in protest against the alleged corrupt practices.

Demanding swift action, the party functionaries and workers have sought intervention from Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and the state president, Rajib Bhattacharya, to investigate the job offer scam case.

Furthermore, questions have been raised about how mandal presidents and panchayat samiti chairman have been distributing job offers, seemingly ignoring complaints from various levels of the party, including functionaries, workers, booth committees, and gram panchayats.

Party workers have expressed their frustration, claiming that some individuals secured the job without undergoing an interview, while others who did face interviews were denied offers. This disparity has added to the controversy surrounding the job distribution process.

In light of the mounting pressure, the party workers have demanded a fair investigation by the local panchayat chief to uncover the truth behind the alleged corrupt practices.
