Agartala, 15th December 2025: Aryavart International University’s Department of Pharmacy organized a World AIDS Day awareness campaign at Tilthai Do-Bhanga High School to educate the public on HIV/AIDS prevention and hygiene. The event awakens communities about the disease’s dangers and promotes personal health protection.
The campaign draws pharmacy faculty including Dr. Nirmalya Ganguly and Bishwajit Das, university pharmacy students, local Tilthai residents, and high school students. District Council representatives and the Tilthai Village Head attend, witnessing the drive that stresses cleanliness as a key factor in AIDS prevention.
Participants gained insights into HIV/AIDS transmission, its life-threatening impact, and protective measures like hygiene practices. Faculty members lead sessions highlighting how simple habits prevent infection and safeguard health in daily life.
Dr. Nirmalya Ganguly emphasizes the program’s success in community outreach. “This awareness drive equips Tilthai residents with vital knowledge about AIDS prevention and hygiene,” Dr. Ganguly states. “Early education saves lives and builds healthier communities.”
The initiative receives praise from local leaders for addressing public health gaps effectively. Attendees report transformative experiences, gaining practical tools to combat the disease through awareness and precaution.
