Agartala, December 27: Assam Rifles Battalion in a joint operation with Patharkandi police station apprehended two drug peddlers along with Brown Sugar on Tuesday last.
Based on credible information of Drugs sale, a joint operation was launched by Assam Rifles with police representatives from Baraigram Watch Post under Patharkandi Police Station and apprehended drug peddlers along with 23.7 grams of Brown Sugar worth approximately Rs 9,70,000 from general area Nagaria Village under Baraigram Watch Post, Patharkandi Police Station, Assam.
The apprehended individuals along with seized contents were handed over to Patharkandi Police Station for further investigation and legal proceedings. Assam Rifles have demonstrated its commitment towards drug free society.
