Agartala, 7th December 2025:   The All Tripura Pensioners’ Association (ATPA) convened its third triennial state conference at Sakhicharan Vidyaniketan here today, where leaders strongly voiced concerns over pension-related issues affecting government employees.

During the conference, ATPA leaders demanded a reversal of the pension system changes introduced after 2018. They argued that employees who joined government service after that year are excluded from the old pension scheme, leaving them at a disadvantage compared to earlier recruits. The association reiterated its call for reinstating the old pension scheme to ensure fairness for newly appointed staff.

The conference also placed a 12-point charter of demands before the authorities. Key among them were immediate implementation of 22% Dearness Relief, restoration of the old pension system, and raising the monthly medical allowance to at least Rs 1,000.

Leaders emphasized that these measures are essential to safeguard the financial security and welfare of retired and serving employees.
