Agartala, 27th June 2026: A tragic accident has claimed the life of an auto driver near the Debendra Nagar dumping station area, close to Agartala. The deceased has been identified as Ajit Pal, a resident of Kamalghat.
Sources informed that Ajit Pal, who regularly drove his auto in Agartala city, was returning home on Friday evening when his vehicle’s wheel slipped into a pothole near the dumping station. Though he did not appear to suffer any serious external injuries at the time, he continued his journey home and later went to sleep.
However, in the early hours of Saturday, around 4 a.m., Ajit Pal experienced unbearable internal pain. His family members rushed him to a private nursing home, from where he was referred to GB Hospital in critical condition. Despite efforts by doctors, Ajit Pal succumbed to his injuries shortly after being admitted.
His younger brother confirmed the tragic development, stating that Ajit Pal’s internal injuries had gone unnoticed until the situation turned fatal.
