Agartala, October 17, 2023: In the spirited preparations leading up to Durga Puja, acts of benevolence took center stage as clothing donation camps were conducted by Bappiraj Furniture and Euro Kids, marking a heartwarming display of community solidarity and kindness.
Bappiraj Furniture, with a branch situated in Naya Para on Kadamtala Road, Dharmanagar, initiated a clothing donation drive at Chandrapur Kali Mandir on the occasion of Niranjan De Puja. Their noble gesture was aimed at providing a ray of hope to the less fortunate who lack the means to acquire new clothing for the festive season.
The event saw the presence of Dharmanagar MLA and Assembly’s Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen, Chairperson of the Dharmanagar Municipal Council Pradyut Dey Sarkar, philanthropist Shyamal Kanti Nath, Chandrapur Gram Panchayat Pradhan Jhuma, and other members of the Panchayat.
Approximately 150 mothers and sisters, who depend on household work and NREGA for their livelihoods, were graciously presented with puja garments, courtesy of Bappiraj.
Similarly, children who hail from underprivileged backgrounds and may otherwise be unable to afford new puja attire found respite through the generosity of Euro Kids, a local school in Rajbari, Dharmanagar. Euro Kids, driven by the desire to bring smiles to those in need, arranged new clothes for approximately 60 children to ensure they too could partake in the festive spirit.
Pritam Sinha, the administrator of Euro Kids, expressed the profound joy in witnessing the happiness and contentment radiating from the young children as they were adorned in new attire for Puja. He affirmed that there’s no greater joy than the simple act of bringing smiles to faces and spreading warmth during the festive season.
