Agartala, October 31, 2023: A drinking water company in Belonia, named Daily Fresh Water, has been accused of violating the government regulations and endangering the health of the consumers. The company, which operates in Saatmura Bridge Chowmuhani area, has been allegedly selling water under the brand name of Lifestyle, without following the rules and guidelines of the food safety department and the sub-divisional administration.
The company has been facing complaints from the residents and the media, who have claimed that the water is not tested and certified as per the standards. The company owner, Bipul Nath, has also been accused of threatening and abusing the media personnel who tried to expose his illegal activities. He has been reportedly trying to influence the authorities and avoid any action against his company.
The food safety officer and the sub-divisional administration officials have visited the company several times and issued warnings, but the company has not complied with the orders. The officials have said that they will take strict action against the company if it does not follow the rules and regulations.
The residents have expressed their concern over the quality of the water and its impact on their health. They have demanded that the government should shut down the company and ensure that only safe and certified water is sold in the market.
