Agartala, June 18, 2023: Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir, shrine of knowledge and echoes on Saturday last celebrated felicitation of board toppers and academic prize giving ceremony (2022-2023).
The chief guest was Prof. Arunodoy Saha, former VC and Chairman of the State Higher Education Council. The guest of honour was Suchitra Sarkar, Principal of the Narsingarh HS English Medium School. Ranu Chakraborty, member of the Kendra Committee was the special invitee. Debashis Chakraborty, Chairman of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Agartala Kendra, presided over the program.
The program started with lightening of sacred lamp followed by floral tribute to KM Munshi, Swapna Shome, Principal of the BTVM welcomed everyone. There were awards for different categories from class 3 to class 12.
Students were awarded as best of the best, A1 Holders and Full Marks Scorer Prof Kashinath Das Memorial Award of Rs 5000 was awarded to Chemistry topper. Cash prizes and certificates were awarded to Jayasmith Chakraborty for being the board Topper(AISSCE) and merit award winners. Pranjali Dam received cash prize for being AISSE Topper. There were other cash prizes for highest scorer and merit award. Students of Class 10 to 12 were also awarded for being 1st 2nd and 3rd in their respective classes. Different cultural programs made the day colourful.
