Agartala, 6th July 2026: To commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Union Ministry of Cooperation, Birchandranagar & Potichhara LAMPS Ltd. organized a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and tree plantation programme at Birchandra Manu Bazar under Shantirbazar Subdivision on Monday.
The initiative was aimed at promoting environmental conservation, increasing green cover, and creating a cleaner and healthier environment for future generations. Members of the cooperative society, along with local volunteers, actively participated in cleaning various parts of Birchandra Manu Bazar and planted saplings of different species along roadsides.
Speaking on the occasion, Manager Bikash Das said, “This initiative is our contribution towards realizing the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Swachh Bharat and preserving a greener environment. Cooperatives play a vital role not only in economic development but also in fulfilling their social responsibilities.”
The programme highlighted the cooperative sector’s commitment to sustainable development and community welfare while encouraging public participation in cleanliness and environmental protection.
