Agartala, 23rd November 2024: The third biennial conference of the North Tripura District Mazdoor Sangh was held with great enthusiasm at the Vivekananda Swardha Satabarshiki Bhavan in Dharmanagar at 12 noon. The event was attended by Dharmanagar MLA and Tripura Legislative Assembly Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen, Dharmanagar Municipal Council Chairperson Mitali Das Sen, former president Subrata Rudra Pal, former secretary Biplab Das and many other personalities.
During the conference, the secretary and president of the previous committee were re-appointed. Subrata Rudra Pal took charge as the secretary of the new committee, while Biplob Das was re-elected as the president. Additionally, a robust committee of 43 members was formed to lead the North District.
Addressing the attendees, Speaker Sen emphasized the committee’s commitment to the welfare and support of the people. “This committee will work for the welfare and support of the people in the future. The members of the committee will move forward in unity, shoulder to shoulder with other workers of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh,” Sen stated. The new committee received widespread support from the workers present.
The conference was marked by a full house, with not an inch of space left empty among the workers at the Vivekananda 150th Anniversary Bhavan. Biplab Das, the re-elected president expressed his gratitude for the continued trust placed in him. “I am very grateful to have been given the responsibility of the president again. I thank everyone and promise that I will work in unity with all the workers. I will try to be by everyone’s side in happiness and sorrow,” Das said.
