Agartala, 28th September 2024:   Pradesh BJP Spokesperson Nabendu Bhattacharya launched a scathing attack on the CPIM, accusing the opposition of spreading misinformation about law and order in the state. Bhattacharya dismissed CPM’s recent claims of political murders and instability, calling their ideological position “terrorism.”

Addressing the media, Bhattacharya stated, “The CPM is spreading false information about the state, claiming there is no law and order. Today, they are misleading the public with talks of political murders, attempting to create confusion.”

He went on to criticize CPM leaders for their complaints about unemployment and food shortages in villages, saying, “They claim there is no work or food, but where is their contribution? They have failed to provide basic logistics for the people. Even tax collection from cannabis growers has stopped under their rule, and now they seek to create chaos.”

Highlighting the BJP’s achievements, Bhattacharya emphasized the development seen under the current government. “Since the BJP came to power, houses have been built in every village. In the past, villages lacked even basic homes. What were called ‘pankabari’ were nothing but CPM party offices,” he said. He also accused the CPM of corrupt employment practices during their tenure, adding, “The left-wing era was marked by job favoritism, where employment was given to the family members of party loyalists. But now, under the BJP, there is no such unfair practice.”

Bhattacharya’s remarks further escalated the political tension between the ruling BJP and the CPM, with both parties engaging in heated exchanges over governance and state affairs.
