Agartala, February 20 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a ‘Shakti Bandan’ program for the women of self help groups at Booth No. 11 of Jolaibari assembly constituency on Tuesday. The program aimed to discuss the various initiatives taken by the central and state governments for the development and empowerment of women.
The chief speaker of the event was Ajay Reang, the BJP Mandal President of Jolaibari Assembly Constituency. He praised the popular Prime Minister of India for giving special priority to women, which he said was not seen in the past. He also highlighted the achievements of the BJP and IPFT-led government in the state, which he claimed had brought development to all sectors, especially for women.
The event witnessed a lot of enthusiasm and participation from the women present, who expressed their support and gratitude to the BJP for organizing the program.
