Bubagra initiates steps to resolve issues of former ATTF members; High-level delegation to visit Delhi soon

Date:

Agartala, 28th April 2026:   In a significant move aimed at ensuring lasting peace and addressing long-standing grievances, Tipra Motha Party supremo and royal scion Bubagra Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma has taken fresh initiatives to resolve the problems faced by surrendered members of the All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF). On Tuesday, Debbarma personally met with the returnees to discuss the challenges they continue to face despite the signing of the peace accord.

According to sources, the meeting focused on rehabilitation concerns and demands related to civic amenities. Following the discussions, it was revealed that a high-level delegation comprising representatives of both ATTF and NLFT (National Liberation Front of Tripura), led by Bubagra himself, will soon travel to New Delhi. The delegation is expected to hold talks with senior officials of the central government to press for the fulfillment of commitments made under the peace agreement.

The development was highlighted on social media by Ranjit Debbarma, MLA from Ramchandraghat constituency and a prominent Tipra Motha leader. He emphasized that Bubagra’s relentless efforts are part of a broader struggle to secure peace and prosperity for the Tiprasa community. He further noted that the party remains vigilant to ensure that every clause of the accord is implemented and that the returnees are accorded dignity and opportunities to reintegrate into mainstream society.

Political observers believe the upcoming Delhi visit carries considerable significance in the current hill-state context, marking a crucial step in advancing the peace process involving ATTF and NLFT. Former insurgents have expressed optimism that the initiative will pave the way for swift resolution of long-pending issues and help consolidate peace in Tripura.
