Clash Erupts Between BJP and Tipra Motha Supporters at Kulai Polling Booth

Agartala, 12th April 2026:  Tension erupted at Polling Station No. 42 under the 10 Kulai–Champahour constituency after a violent clash broke out between supporters of two political groups during polling hours.

According to preliminary reports, supporters of the BJP and the Tipra Motha were involved in a confrontation following allegations that unidentified outsiders attempted to cast votes at the booth. The dispute quickly escalated into a physical altercation, creating panic among voters and disrupting the polling process.

Local authorities and security personnel rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control. Additional forces were deployed in and around the area to prevent further escalation and ensure the safety of voters.

Officials later confirmed that the situation has been stabilized and polling resumed under strict security arrangements. An investigation into the incident and the allegations of voter interference is expected to follow.
