CM reviews preparations ahead of PM Modi visit to inaugurate renovated  Mata Bari

Agartala, 7th September 2025 :  Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha today visited the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple, popularly known as Mata Bari, in Udaipur to review the ongoing preparations for the possible visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is expected to inaugurate the renovated temple.

The Chief Minister, accompanied by public representatives and senior administrative officials, inspected the arrangements at the temple premises, where the final phase of beautification and infrastructural works under the Central Government’s PRASAD project is nearing completion. The Mata Tripura Sundari Temple, one of the 151 Shakti Peethas, has been undergoing extensive development to improve facilities and enhance its spiritual ambience.

After offering prayers, Dr. Saha briefed the media, saying:

“I have come here to review the preparedness. The exact date of the Prime Minister’s visit has not been finalized yet as the schedule may change. However, the state administration is fully geared up for the possible visit. Today, we reviewed all arrangements with ministers, MLAs, and senior officials to ensure timely completion of the ongoing works.”

Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Bagma MLA Rampada Jamatia, Matabari MLA Abhishek Debroy, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, DGP Anurag, the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police of Gomati district, along with other senior officials from the administration and police, accompanied the Chief Minister during the inspection.

The much-anticipated inauguration of the renovated Tripura Sundari Temple by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to take place in the coming days.
