Congress holds rally in Kalyanpur

Agartala Nov 10: Politics of Kalyanpur has heated up ahead of the crucial 2023 assembly polls.A grand rally was held in front of the Kalyanpur Congress Bhavan on Thursday.Several families left different parties and joined the Congress in this meeting.

Pradesh Congress President Birjit Sinha, former MLA Ashish Kumar Saha remained present as the chief guests at this event. Kalyanpur Block Congress President Sadhan Mallik presided over the event. Khowai District Congress President Bikram Kishore Sinha delivered the welcome address.

Addressing the program, state Congress president Birjit Sinha cited the example of secularism of the Congress and said that this party participated in India’s freedom struggle. He criticized the BJP over religious politics and talked about Congress’ “Bharat Jodo Yatra”.Addressing the program the Congress leaders lambasted the ruling BJP over misrule, collapse of law and order, increase rate of violence and crime against women and others. Among others in this Thursday’s joining meeting were Pradesh Congress Committee members Nitya Gopal Rudrapal, Ashok Dev, Paritosh Das, Dilip Debbarma, District Congress Women’s President Anjana Nandi, Youth Leader Kartik Debnath, two general secretaries of the district Rakhal Tarafdar, Swapan Roy, and others.There was great enthusiasm among the Congressmen for the day’s joining meeting.
