.Agartala: December 24. Deputy Chief Minister today inaugurated Village Day in Ahariya and Madhya Brajapur Gram Panchayat under Charilam block. This village day celebration is a reflection of the innovative idea of local MLA and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma as a part of good governance program in every house.
Deputy Chief Minister was present at the village day celebrations in two village panchayats on Saturday. Apart from him, Sepahijala Zilla Parishad member Kakali Deb, Ahaliya village panchayat chief Satyam Sarkar, philanthropist Abul Hussain and others were present. On this day, the Deputy Chief Minister felicitated 70 senior citizens of Ahaliya Gram Panchayat area and 25 citizens of Madhya Brajpur Gram Panchayat.
Besides, bicycles were given to the girls students of Ahaliya School. In his speech, Deputy Chief Minister said that the development of the village requires the participation of everyone in the village. Everyone should have an opinion on how to make their village prosperous. Remember the development of the village means the development of the state.
