Dharma protects those who protect it: Deputy CM

Agartala: December 27. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma today inaugurated a ghat (Bank) at the Chakrama Tirtha Sthan of Jamatia Hoda at Chabimura under the Amarpur sub-division.

On Facebook, Dy CM wrote that the ghat is named Shri Ishwari ghat as the queens of Tripura were addressed as such.

“Inauguration of a ghat at the Chakrama Tirtha Sthan of Jamatia Hoda at Chabimura. 1001 Diyas (oil Lamps) set afloat in the holy waters of the Gomati River which sanctified this land for centuries.  The Ghat is named Shri Ishwari ghat as the queens of Tripura were addressed as such. This on the banks of the sacred river commemorates the brave queens who fought against invaders”, he wrote.

He further said that the Dharma (righteousness) protects those who protect it.
