Discussion on road safety, de-addiction at Charilam Block level Kaushal Mela held

Agartala, November 9, 2022: A special discussion meeting on ‘Prati Ghore Sushasan’, ‘Koushal Mela’ drug-free state and road safety was inaugurated by the Charilam RD Block BAC chairman Jakulo Debbarma at Lila Deb Smriti Community Hall on Wednesday afternoon.

At the inaugural ceremony, Sepahijala Zilla Parishad sabhadipati Supriya Das Datta, Sepahijala district’s DM Viswashree B, Parishad member Kakali Deb, Charilam Block Education Standing committee chairman Rajkumar Debnath, Charilam BDO Ripon Das, district’s Motor Vehicle officer Dibakar Das, Additional BDO Amitabh Bhattacharjee and others were present.

In this awareness discussion along with Charilam block level Koushal Mela, the people of Charilam block area took various facilities including PRTC, OBC certificate, Aadhar card in every house for good governance. The presence of the people of the area including students of various schools was noticeable in the one-day program. In the Kaushal Mela, stalls with products produced by women from various government departments and self-help groups were exhibited.

Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati Supriya Das Dutta, District Magistrate Viswashree B and others visited the stalls produced by women of self-help groups. During the Kaushal Mela, a loan grant of Rs 6 lakh was given to the women of Lakshmi Sri Swanirbhar Dal through Gramin Bank and the guests along with the Sabhadipati Das Datta gave it away.

Besides, PRTC, Aadhaar card certificates were given to each house in good governance program, various saplings were handed over to beneficiaries by the guests through Agriculture department.

Sepahijala district Motor Vehicles Officer Dibakar Das discussed the vehicle accident while taking the students and girls on the road. He highlighted various facts. A discussion on de-addiction was given through a projector.
