DM Rinku Lather inspects Salgarah Tehsil office, stresses efficient revenue administration

Agartala, 16th July 2026:  Gomati District Magistrate Rinku Lather conducted an inspection of the Salgarah Tehsil Office to review its functioning and reinforce the district administration’s commitment to transparent, efficient and citizen-centric governance.

During the visit, the District Magistrate carried out a comprehensive assessment of the office’s functioning, with particular focus on revenue administration, land records management, mutation and partition cases, issuance of revenue-related certificates, grievance redressal mechanisms, maintenance of official records and the overall quality of public service delivery.

The DM also interacted in detail with tehsil officials and staff to evaluate the progress of ongoing work, understand operational challenges and identify measures to improve administrative efficiency. Discussions centred on streamlining office procedures and ensuring faster delivery of services to the public.

Rinku Lather emphasised the importance of timely disposal of public applications, proper maintenance and digitisation of land and revenue records, transparency in office functioning and courteous, responsive behaviour towards citizens. Necessary directions were issued to ensure strict adherence to government guidelines, strengthen accountability at every level and enhance the efficiency of revenue administration.

The inspection forms part of the Gomati District Administration’s ongoing efforts to improve governance through regular monitoring, institutional strengthening and continuous review of public service delivery. Officials were instructed to maintain high standards of transparency and responsiveness while addressing citizens’ concerns.

The District Administration reiterated its commitment to providing accessible, transparent and efficient public services across the district. It stated that strong institutions, accountable administration and a citizen-first approach remain the cornerstones of building a progressive Gomati District and ensuring better governance for all residents.
