DYFI Ramnagar raises issues of unemployment and drug abuse

Agartala, 29th July 2026 :    The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) Ramnagar Local Committee organized a youth rally in Ramnagar on Wednesday, raising multiple demands and concerns. The rally, which began at Ker Chowmuhani, marched through various parts of Ramnagar before concluding at the starting point.

According to DYFI leaders, this was the first youth rally in the area in nearly eight years. The procession highlighted issues such as deteriorating law and order, erosion of democratic environment, rising drug abuse, unemployment crisis, problems in the education system, poor road infrastructure, and hardships faced by citizens under the Smart City project. Leaders urged the public to unite in collective movements to address these challenges.

The rally was led by DYFI Ramnagar Local Committee Secretary Nilottam Majumdar and President Suman Deb. Also present were DYFI Sadar Divisional Secretary Jaydeep Routh, Divisional President Prasenjit Deb, along with youth leaders Shibu Sutradhar, Jaydeep Kar, Dilwar Hossain, Subhashis Ganguly, Gautam Chakraborty, and Gaur Kumar Bhattacharya. The rally witnessed significant participation from local youth activists and supporters.
