TRLM signs MoU with Transrural Consulting to assess impact of financial literacy programmes

Date:

Agartala, 29th July 2026 :    The Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Transrural Consulting Private Limited to conduct an impact study on financial literacy initiatives being implemented under TRLM.

The agreement was signed on July 28, 2026, with the objective of engaging Transrural Consulting Pvt. Ltd. as a Technical Support Agency to evaluate the effectiveness of financial literacy training provided to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and their members across the state.

The impact study will assess the outcomes of various financial literacy interventions undertaken by TRLM and examine how these initiatives have contributed towards improving financial awareness, inclusion and economic empowerment among rural women.

According to TRLM, the findings of the study will provide valuable insights into the strengths and gaps of existing programmes and help in designing more effective strategies for future interventions.

The initiative is expected to support the mission’s efforts towards strengthening livelihood opportunities, enhancing financial decision-making abilities and promoting sustainable development among rural communities, particularly women associated with SHGs.
