EM inaugurates 3-day Historical and Cultural Heritage Exhibition at CC

Agartala, November 15: Education minister Ratan Lal Nath on Tuesday inaugurated the opening ceremony of 3-day long Tripura’s Historical and Cultural Heritage Exhibition at Art Gallery, City Centre under the initiative of Higher Education department.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Nath said that the historical and cultural heritage sites are an important area to know the past and whoever comes to this place will return enriched.

He said that this exhibition is a memory and document of a time which is especially necessary for government work, especially administrative work. He also added that if the past record is not known, the work path will not be smooth.Education Minister said that such exhibitions have an important role not only for government work but also for academicians, writers, researchers and students. The government has organized this exhibition keeping this need in mind. He further added that the present and the future are based on the past. So it is the duty of all of us to keep the history alive.

AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder was present as guest of honour in the event. Chairman of Higher Education Council Prof Arunoday Saha addressed the event as a special guest. Director of Higher Education NC Sharma delivered the welcome address. Archive P Bhattacharjee gave the vote of thanks. After the opening ceremony, the guests visited the exhibition of historical and cultural heritage.
