Five injured after auto turns turtle to save street dog

Agartala, 26th May 2024:   An auto rickshaw accident in the Melaghar left five people injured, including women and minors. The accident occurred when the driver, Liton Das, tried to avoid hitting two dogs that suddenly appeared in front of the vehicle.

The incident took place when Liton Das, driving an auto rickshaw with the registration number TR-01E-3077, was on his way to Melaghar with four passengers. In an attempt to save the dogs, Das lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a collision that left all passengers, including the driver, injured.

Local residents quickly responded to the scene, rescuing the injured and transporting them to Melaghar Hospital. Among the injured, Bulti Mazumder and Sushant Biswas were found to be in critical condition. The on-duty doctor at Melaghar Hospital referred both Mazumder and Biswas to GB Hospital for further treatment.
