Government committed to resolving people’s grievances: CM

Date:

Agartala, 15th July 2026:  Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today said that reaching out to the people to solve their problems is very important, and the current government is working on improving health services on a priority basis. Currently, the number of patient referrals from the state has reduced by about 80%.

Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha said this while participating in the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme at the TIFT Conference Hall in Agartala today.

Along with this, he virtually inaugurated the ‘Yoddha’ website created by the North Tripura District Administration.

On this day, 28 people from Kanchanpur subdivision virtually participated in the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme. The Chief Minister assured them that action would be taken after listening to their various problems.

Later, Dr. Saha said that today marked the 70th episode of the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme.

“Based on experience, I understand that many people from far away cannot participate in this programme. So, we decided that such programmes will be conducted in all the districts. Out of these, two districts have done it through virtual means. Earlier, it was done in Dhalai district, and today it was done in North Tripura district. It had been stated earlier that people from different subdivisions could speak to the Chief Minister about their problems. Accordingly, a large number of people from Kanchanpur participated today. Many raised health-related issues, while others raised livelihood-related problems. Along with this, the ‘Yoddha’ website created by the North Tripura District Administration was inaugurated today. Through this portal, people can raise their various problems. For this, I thank the District Magistrate of North Tripura district and his team. This portal is a very good initiative,” he said.

The Chief Minister also said that it is very important to reach out to the people. Today, issues related to fisheries, houses damaged due to rain, and ways to help the affected people were discussed. Along with this, it was stated that some issues would be sent to the state level for resolution.

“Those issues will be looked into by the officials. Not all problems can be resolved from Agartala alone. We want to reach every person in every household. For this, good governance activities are being carried out at the grassroots level. Arrangements are being made to ensure that people benefit from various schemes of the state and central governments. There are many schemes for people belonging to the primitive groups. For this, officials have been instructed to take the necessary measures,” he said.

The Chief Minister also said that the government is working on improving the quality of medical services in the state on a priority basis.

“The number of referrals from the state has reduced by about 80%. This is a significant achievement. This has been possible because many services have been provided to patients in the health sector. Now, we have all the major medical facilities in Tripura itself. So why should people go outside? I recently visited GB Hospital and gave various important instructions,” he said.

Speaking about the ‘Yoddha’ website created by the North Tripura District Administration, Dr. Saha said that it is a special platform to ensure the active participation of citizens in addressing social problems.

“Through ‘Yoddha’, every citizen can play the role of a conscious warrior. They can report various social problems, including child marriage, drug addiction, domestic violence, child labour, etc., while keeping their identity confidential. Again, if someone is himself a victim of drug addiction, he will be connected with counselling and treatment while maintaining complete confidentiality,” he added.
