Government keen to utilize retirees’ experience for development of state: Pranajit Singha Roy

Agartala, June 07, 2023: The government is keen to utilize the experience of retirees for the development of the state as their experience is very necessary for the development of the society,  Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said today.

While inaugurating the Pensioners’ Court-2023 organized by Finance Department at Muktadhara Auditorium here, Singha Roy said that the government is moving towards a completely paperless work in the next few days.

On the occasion, the Finance Minister inaugurated the Online Pension Grievances Portal. Moreover, the Finance Minister today also launched the online pension proposal submission and online e-service book submission through HRMS. Today, 71 complaints have been filed in the Pensioners Court.

On the occasion, the minister said that the current government is working to provide government service opportunities to the last person of the state. The current government is bringing new reforms and changes in various matters to bring transparency in work. He said that the government has taken initiative to solve the advantages and disadvantages of pensioners. It should also be seen that after the pensioner, his housewives or those who come under its benefits do not face any problem in getting pension. At the time of retirement, the DDOs of the department advised the retired employees to be aware of whether they are submitting correct information. The Finance Minister urged the departments, pensioners, AG offices and bank authorities to take initiatives to record the correct information of the pensioners in the portal.

Finance Department Secretary Brijesh Pandey said on the occasion that pension is the right of retired employees. He emphasized on simplifying the pension system. Akinchan Sarkar, Additional Secretary, Finance, delivered the welcome address. He said it is the government’s job to financially provide social security to retired employees. Digital Life Certification has been arranged for the pensioners by the government. In this regard, he advised the banks to be sincere towards the pensioners.

On the occasion, Finance Minister Pranajit Singh Roy handed over the pension payment order to the retired employees. Deputy Account General Lalit Kumar Bimal, Senior Account Officer Anindita Dhar, Treasury Officer Shankaranarayan Das, Convener of Pensioners’ Cell Byomkesh Chowdhury and others were present on the occasion.
