Government works to beautify Sonamura town, says Pratima; Meets ASHA, Anganwadi & SHGs women

Agartala, June 7, 2023: Union minister of state Pratima Bhoumik on Wednesday said that the current BJP-led government will work to increase the beauty of Sonamura city and the local police station will be made as a model police station.

Participating in a ‘Jana Sampark Abhiyaan’ at Sonamura on the occasion of 9 years of PM Modi-led government she met the new voters at Rabindranagar Community Hall in Sonamura and interacted with them.

She said what the central government has done for the development of students and youth society in these 9 years. Thereafter she spoke to women workers of ASHA and Anganwadi Kendras and members of self-help groups at Sonamura Town Hall. There the women of self-help groups shed light on the pros and cons of running their groups. Asha Anganwadi workers also highlighted their advantages and disadvantages.

Later talking to the journalists, Bhoumik highlighted the current government’s plans for the development of Sonamura city. She said the beauty of the city’s ponds would be enhanced. Sonamura police station will be built as a model police station.

Moreover, she appealed to everyone to stop using single-use polythene, conserve water and protect the environment.

BJP’s Sepahijala (South) District Committee President Debabrata Bhattacharya, Sonamura Mandal President Biswajit Das, Yuva Morcha leader Supanka Sarkar and others were present in the program.
