Agartala: September 30. The state government have declared no-entry zones along the Agartala-Akhaura railway line section, slated to commence construction from October 01.
The ambitious project, a collaborative effort between India and Bangladesh, aims to enhance regional trade and strengthen bilateral ties.
The designated no-entry zones, encompassing Point No. 1 Badharghat, Point No. 2 TV Tower Crossing, and Point No. 3 Siddhi Ashram Crossing, will remain restricted to vehicular movement from October 1, 11 pm to 5 AM of 2nd October and subsequently, from 11 PM of 2nd October to 5 AM of 3 October.
These measures are implemented in accordance with a notification issued by the District Magistrate of West District under Sections 115 and 116 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
Furthermore, a controlled restriction will be imposed on the movement of heavy vehicles through Point No. 4 Amtali Bypass, ensuring a smooth and secure construction process.
The notification explicitly exempts emergency vehicles from these restrictions, assuring uninterrupted access for critical services during the specified periods.
