Agartala, November 16, 2023: The Khowai Biplabi Suryasen Vidyamandir finds itself in a dire situation as a shortage of teachers has led to a disruption in the school’s operations. With only two teachers currently managing students of around 50, the academic atmosphere has been significantly impacted, prompting concerned parents to take action.

This morning, frustrated parents took matters into their own hands and locked the school gates, demanding the urgent appointment of additional teachers to address the staffing shortfall. The transfer of one teacher has exacerbated the issue, leaving the school grappling with an insufficient number of educators.

The situation came to a head as parents voiced their concerns over the declining quality of education and various other challenges plaguing the school. In response to the lockout, local authorities and high-ranking officials rushed to the scene to assess the situation and engage with the protesting parents.

During discussions with the parents, the officials acknowledged the gravity of the issue and assured them that steps would be taken promptly. The officials pledged to resolve the shortage of teachers within a week, aiming to restore normalcy to the school’s academic activities. The assurance from the authorities appears to have temporarily diffused tensions as the parents await concrete actions to address the pressing matter.
