Agartala, 29th June 2026: A hands-on training programme on the verification of executants, claimants, witnesses, and property identification was successfully conducted today by the Revenue Section of the Office of the District Magistrate & Collector, West Tripura.
The training programme was held at the Conference Hall of the District Magistrate & Collector’s Office, West Tripura, Agartala, at 10:00 AM with the objective of strengthening the verification mechanism involved in property registration and ensuring greater transparency in the process.
The initiative was organized in accordance with the provisions of Section 21 of the Registration Act, 1908, and Rule 138 of the Tripura Registration Rules (TRR), 1954. The programme focused on enhancing the skills of officials involved in registration procedures and preventing fraudulent practices, including impersonation and false identification during property transactions.
Supervisors, Verifiers, Sub-Registrars, and other concerned officials participated in the training session. The participants were provided practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises using original identity documents to ensure proper understanding and effective implementation of the verification procedures.
The training emphasized the importance of accurate identity verification, proper documentation, and adherence to legal provisions for maintaining the integrity of property registration services.
The West Tripura district administration stated that such capacity-building initiatives are aimed at improving service delivery and ensuring a secure, transparent, and accountable registration system for citizens.
The programme marks another step towards strengthening administrative practices and safeguarding public interest in property-related matters.
