Agartala, 29th August 2024: ICFAI University Tripura has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the well-being of flood-affected communities in the region. As part of its ongoing efforts to support those in need, Dr. Biplab Halder, on behalf of the university, donated Rs 5 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. In a gracious meeting, Dr. Halder personally handed over the cheque to Dr. Manik Saha, the Chief Minister of Tripura.
This generous donation is a testament to the university’s dedication to serving society, particularly in times of crisis. The university has taken a leading role in providing essential aid to those affected by the recent floods in the region.
In a significant relief effort, ICFAI University Tripura has distributed food packets to over 1000 families in the flood affected areas. The distribution covered several communities, including Salgara, Hodra (Samatal), Amtali Bazar, Udaipur, Primary Rural Market, Khilpara, Community Hall, West Khilpara, Community Hall OTPC Township Palatana, Khilpara Gram Panchayat Office, and Anil Sarkar Memorial Community Hall.
This relief initiative was made possible due to the dedicated efforts of the university’s students, teachers, and staff, who worked tirelessly to ensure that the food packets reached those in need. The distribution was carried out at various locations, including community centres and schools, ensuring widespread support across the affected areas.
