Agartala, 18th January 2025: The Little Bhavanites’ Sports Spectra-2025 for the Pre-Primary section was held successfully in the premises of Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir, Narsingarh on Saturday. Saraju Chakraborty, President of Tripura Sports Journalist Club and Sports Editor were present as the chief guest on this occasion. Renowned cricketer of the state and ex-Bhavanite, Ambesha Das was present as special guest. The ceremony began auspiciously with the lightning and installation of the sacred torch by the special guest Ambesha Das.
Then the school flag was hoisted by Saraju Chakraborty and the Sports Flag by the Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Agartala Kendra, Debashis Chakraborty (Retired IFS); Swapna Shome, Principal, Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir welcomed all in her speech. She also highlighted the activities of the school in her speech. All the guests and dignitaries including Principal Swapna Shome and Head Mistress Pompi Majumdar released Balloons and Pigeons accompanied by some tiny tots.
Apart from mental and physical development of children, these sports events are organized to inculcate the spirit of harmony and cooperation. The whole field came alive with children’s enthusiasm and excitement. Besides, various fun and educational games, a colourful Cultural Programme was also presented in the event. Parents also participated in this event with their children, which added a new dimension to the entire event.
Besides awarding the best 3 Medals for every event to the winners, Certificates were also awarded by the guests to encourage all the children who participated in the competition. This sports event will play an important role not only in terms of physical exercise but also in developing the spirit of brotherhood and cooperation among the children. The program has become a success with the help of the teachers and parents of the school.
