Maharajganj Bazaar Vegetable Vendors Association holds blood donation camp on ‘Mahalaya’

Agartala, October 14 : The Maharajganj Bazaar Vegetable Vendors Association organized a blood donation camp at auspicious occasion of ‘Mahalaya’. The camp witnessed the participation of BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder and other dignitaries and social workers.

Bhattacharjee inaugurated the camp and praised the initiative of the vegetable traders association. He said that the association has been playing a leading role in various social activities and has come forward in social service. He also said that since 2018, a special change has been observed in people, who are coming forward day by day in social service.

Majumder also appreciated the efforts of the vegetable traders association and said that blood donation is a noble deed that can save lives. He urged the people to donate blood voluntarily and regularly.

The blood donation camp was conducted by a team of doctors and nurses from a local hospital. They collected blood from the donors and checked their health parameters. They also provided certificates and refreshments to the donors.

The Maharajganj Bazaar Vegetable Vendors Association thanked the donors and the guests for their support and cooperation. They said that they would continue to organize such camps in the future and contribute to the society.
