Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Near Rani Bazar Railway Bridge

Agartala, 25th February 2026:  A man has died in an apparent road accident near the Rani Bazar railway bridge. According to initial reports, local fire department officials received information on Wednesday that a person was lying on the road, bleeding heavily.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and rescued the seriously injured man, who was immediately taken to GB Hospital for treatment. The attending doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been established. Details about how the man sustained such serious injuries remain unclear. Preliminary reports suggest that a heavy vehicle may have hit him and fled the scene.

The incident has caused a stir in the local area. Police have sent the body for autopsy and have begun investigating the case.
