Massive Fire Breaks Out in MG Bazar Area After Gas Line Burst

Agartala, 1st March 2025 :   A massive fire broke out in front of the Grandeur Club in the Maharajganjbazar area after a gas pipeline burst during roadwork. The incident triggered panic among local residents, though no casualties have been reported so far.

Eyewitnesses stated that the fire erupted when the gas pipeline was accidentally cut during road construction activities. The flames quickly spread, causing fear and chaos in the vicinity.

Upon receiving the alert, two fire engines rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control. Firefighters worked swiftly to prevent the blaze from escalating further.Following the incident, the gas supply through the affected pipeline was temporarily halted. Authorities have since deployed workers to inspect the area’s gas lines to ensure safety and prevent similar accidents in the future.

Local residents have expressed concerns about the safety of underground gas pipelines, urging authorities to enforce stricter monitoring and precautionary measures while carrying out construction activities.
